Skilled Careers is recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager in Felixstowe, Suffolk. You will join a leading volume house builder on a large-scale housing development, supporting the site team to deliver high-quality homes.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will help manage subcontractors, monitor health and safety, support the build programme, and conduct inspections. This is a hands-on role with clear career progression and benefits.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman, or Site Supervisor within residential housebuilding.
Experience working on volume housing developments.
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
Good organisational and communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple trades and workloads effectively.
A proactive attitude with a commitment to quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Site Manager and managing day-to-day development activities.
Assisting with subcontractors on site and coordinating works.
Monitoring health and safety compliance across the development.
Supporting the build programme and ensuring works progress to schedule.
Carrying out quality inspections and snagging checks.
Assisting with NHBC inspections and compliance requirements.
Coordinating materials, labour and site logistics.
Ensuring company standards and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Supporting customer satisfaction initiatives and delivering a strong home-buying experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring homes are built safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
