Job summary

Thomas Gray Ltd in Berkshire is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to support the No.1 on site and coordinate day-to-day activities on site.

You will drive construction programmes, supervise subcontractors, and ensure quality and safety standards are met, working closely with sales and customer care to deliver a smooth handover for new homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day on-site operations and drive construction programmes to deliver plots safely, on schedule, and to high quality.
• Conduct inspections across trades, manage snagging, and ensure NHBC standards and specifications are met.
• Supervise on-site contractors and labour, monitor progress, coordinate site logistics, and ensure safety and productivity.
• Collaborate with sales and customer care to ensure plots are ready for pre-completion checks and smooth handovers.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous inspections across all trades, managing snagging processes and ensuring strict compliance with NHBC standards, building regulations, and specification requirements.
• Subcontractor Management: Supervise on-site trade contractors and labour, monitoring daily progress, coordinating site logistics, and holding teams accountable for performance, safety, and productivity.
• Customer Journey: Collaborate with the sales and customer care teams to ensure plots are ready for meticulous pre-completion checks, delivering a seamless handover experience for new homeowners.
