Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support with inductions and toolbox talks.
• Chair sub-contractor meetings in the absence of the Site Manager.
• Ensure trades work in line with the build programme.
• Coordinate internal or external packages based on experience.
• Organise trades and labour to align with the build programme.
• Ensure materials are used correctly and NHBC stage inspections are completed.
• Drive quality and oversee handovers and customer care.

Overview

My client, an award-winning national housing developer, is looking to hire an Assistant Site Manager for a traditional build scheme based in Burwell. The scheme consists of 120+ traditional build units, with a mix of HA and private sale. This is an ideal candidate for an experienced Assistant Site Manager who has worked on new build traditional build projects and has been part of a full production team.

Responsibilities

• Assistant Site Manager reporting into either a SSM or PM
• Support with inductions and toolbox talks
• Chair sub-contractor meetings in the absence of the Site Manager
• Escalate issues that cannot be rectified to the site lead
• Work on either internal or external packages depending on experience
• Organise all trades and labour
• Ensure trades and labour work in line with the build programme
• Ensure sub-contractors are using correct materials
• NHBC stage inspections
• Ensure development is completed in accordance with specification and build programme
• Drive quality at every stage of the construction process
• Take responsibility for personal development and the development of the team
• Ensure all remedial work is completed prior to occupation
• CMLS/Handovers/Customer care

Qualifications / Experience

• Assistant site management experience on new build residential schemes (PLC or bespoke builder)
• Experience of sub-contractor packages from groundworks to handovers
• Experience of working with both HA and private sale
• Trade background; having supervised teams would be an advantage
• CSCS card
