Job summary

Hill Group UK in Bristol is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager in delivering safe, high‑quality residential developments and to help shape vibrant communities.

You will lead day‑to‑day site activity, coordinate sub‑contractors, and uphold health, safety and quality standards, while building strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers and external partners.

Qualifications

• HNC/NVQ Level 4 in construction or equivalent.
• SMSTS and CSCS certificates.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Knowledge of traditional, RC frame and timber frame construction.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in delivering safe, high‑quality, on‑time construction projects.

What we’re looking for:

• HNC/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience in construction

• SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant safety qualifications

• Confident communicator with strong time management and leadership skills

• Knowledge of traditional, RC frame, and timber frame construction

• A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and attention to detail
