Job summary

InVision Group in Hertfordshire seeks an Assistant Site Manager for a major industrial new-build project. You will assist the Site Manager, coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress and ensure safety and quality across the programme.

The role is permanent with a salary of £35,000-£45,000 plus package. Industrial experience, CSCS qualifications, and a full UK driving licence are essential; steel frame experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor.
• Experience with a main contractor.
• Background in industrial, logistics, warehouse or commercial new builds.
• CSCS card and relevant construction qualifications.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with daily site operations.

Assistant Site Manager - Industrial New Build

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Package

Our client is an established main contractor specialising in industrial, logistics and commercial construction, with an expanding portfolio of new-build projects across the UK.

They are currently seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their project team on a major industrial new-build scheme in Hertfordshire.

Working alongside the Site Manager and wider project team, you will play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day delivery of the project, with responsibility for subcontractor coordination, quality, health & safety and programme support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Site Manager with daily site operations
• Managing and coordinating subcontractors
• Monitoring progress against programme
• Ensuring works are completed safely and to the required quality
• Coordinating site logistics and sequencing
• Carrying out inspections and maintaining site records
• Attending meetings with subcontractors and the project team
• Supporting the delivery of the project from groundworks through to completion

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor experience
• Experience with a main contractor
• Background in industrial, logistics, warehouse or commercial new builds
• Steel frame experience highly desirable
• Good understanding of construction processes and site management
• CSCS and relevant construction qualifications
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
