Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join the planned works division on external maintenance projects across Kent.

You will manage subcontractors and direct operatives, lead the site team, ensure works are delivered to specification, and supervise health, safety and quality checks. A SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS and Asbestos Awareness are required.

This permanent role offers development and progression opportunities with a competitive package.

Assistant Site Manager - Kent

External Planned Maintenance- Social Housing

Up to £45,000 plus package

Our Client, a construction contractor are currently looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join their planned works division.

Projects that are being delivered will be external planned maintenance projects on a 6 year contract. They are being delivered to tower blocks and scattered properties in Kent.

On a day to day basis, you will act as an integral part of the operational team and carry out the following duties:

• Management of sub-contractors & direct operatives


• Lead the site team to the best of your ability


• Manage delivery of works to specification


• Have several direct reports to manage including RLO's and office staff


• Pre & post inspections of works


• Health & safety & quality checks

My client are looking for someone with strong communication skills and a proven track record managing and delivering external planned maintenance projects. A valid SSSTS or SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS, and Asbestos Awareness are required.

This is a permanent position which will offer development as well as great progression opportunities for the successful candidate.
