Job summary

Sphere Solutions are working with a bespoke residential housebuilder to recruit an ambitious and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a new residential development in Perranporth.

You will support the Site Manager with day-to-day supervision, drive production, monitor quality and safety, and coordinate subcontractors while deputising when needed. SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential housebuilding or new build housing at Assistant Site Manager level.
• Good understanding of modern construction methods and processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with day-to-day supervision and coordination of subcontractors and site staff.
• Drive production and ensure development remains on programme.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure homes meet quality standards.
• Support health and safety procedures implementation and monitoring.
• Assist with coordinating construction activities and resource management.
• Deputise for the Site Manager when required.
• Conduct toolbox talks and promote site communication.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works comply with drawings and programme.

Assistant Site Manager - Residential Housebuilding

Location: Perranporth

Salary: £45,000-£47,000 per annum + Car Allowance

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Sphere Solutions are working with a bespoke residential housebuilder to recruit an ambitious and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a new residential development in Perranporth.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day supervision and coordination of subcontractors and directly employed site staff.


• Drive production and ensure the development remains on programme.


• Monitor workmanship and ensure homes are completed to the required quality standards.


• Support the implementation and monitoring of health and safety procedures


• Assist with coordinating construction activities and ensuring resources are effectively managed.


• Deputise for the Site Manager when required.


• Conduct toolbox talks and contribute to effective site communication.


• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.


• Assist with resolving any issues that may affect programme, quality or safety.

About You

• The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within residential housebuilding or new build housing at Assistant Site Manager level


• You will have a good understanding of modern construction methods and processes, together with knowledge of current health and safety legislation.


• Strong knowledge of modern construction methods and building processes.
