Key Purpose of Role - Assistant Site Manager (Yorkshire Developments)

To ensure the correct completion of works on housing developments, ensuring proper working methods are followed, and to actively promote safe working practices on site.

Staff responsibilities include assisting the Site Manager with these responsibilities.

The construction department is responsible for the company’s developments, which vary over time and include the company’s product range. The department ensures construction of a quality product, safely, within budget and time constraints, working closely with the Sales department to ensure customer satisfaction.

Working on-site under the direction of the Site Manager, the role involves ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving cost and quality control.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

1. Comply with the company’s build policies and procedures.
2. Assist the Site Manager in supervising all subcontractors and trades.
3. Coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries to support efficient building methods, quality, and schedule adherence.
4. Follow the Assistant Site Manager responsibilities outlined in the company’s Health, Safety and Environment Policy, and complete relevant documentation regularly.
5. Liaise with the sales department and customers to ensure high levels of customer care and satisfaction, and complete all relevant inspections and documentation.

Working Relationships

Effective working relationships are essential daily. Internal relationships include colleagues within the division and the Health & Safety department. External relationships involve subcontractors, suppliers, utility providers, NHBC, Local Authority Building Control, HSE, and purchasers.

Qualifications

HNC/HND.

Experience

Experience in a similar role within the housebuilding industry.

• Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety and building legislation.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to deliver on time and to targets.
