Assistant Site Manager

About the role:
Working closely with a highly experienced Site Manager, you will assist in the daily operations of a busy housing development. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Working with the Site Manager in taking ownership of agreed build programmes at pre-start meetings
- Assisting with ensuring that Health & Safety procedures are strictly adhered to
- Conforming to building regulations and warranty providers' requirements (NHBC, LABC)
- Assisting with ensuring cost-effective production in line with development budgets by ensuring that the work undertaken is in full accordance with the allocated cost provision
- Assisting with the organisation of site meetings and pre-planning to ensure efficient use of all resources
- Ensuring production/progress returns are updated and sent to the Contracts Manager
- Assisting with site security and maintaining good practices at all times
- Ensuring sensible stock control in accordance with build requirements, including checking and recording deliveries
- Assisting with maintaining quality standards to meet company and warranty expectations
- Ensuring subcontractors work within required specifications and adhere to company policies
- Implementing procedures and controls across site personnel
- Ensuring plots are finished to a high standard by taking ownership until completion
- Taking responsibility for supervising cranes
Assistant Site Manager requirements:
- Previous experience in delivering new build timber-frame housing developments
- Ability to motivate the team and subcontractors
- Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates
