Key Purpose of Role - Assistant Site Manager (Barnsley)

To ensure the correct completion of works on housing developments, ensuring working methods are performed correctly and actively encouraging safe working practices on site.

Staff responsibilities: Assists the Site Manager with these responsibilities.

The construction department is responsible for the company's developments, which will vary over time and include various product ranges. The department ensures the construction of quality products safely, within budget and timescales, working closely with the Sales department to ensure customer satisfaction.

Working on-site under the direction of the Site Manager, ensuring customer satisfaction and cost/quality control are achieved.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

• To comply with the company's build policy and procedures.
• Working with the Site Manager to supervise all subcontractors and trades.
• Coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries to assist the Site Manager in ensuring an efficient build process, maintaining quality and adhering to the build programme.
• Comply with the Assistant Site Manager's responsibilities as laid out in the company's Health, Safety and Environment Policy, and complete relevant documentation weekly/monthly.
• Liaise with the sales department and customers to ensure high customer care and satisfaction, completing all relevant inspections and documentation.

Working Relationships

Effective working relationships are essential:

• Internal: Colleagues within the division, Health & Safety department.
• External: Subcontractors, suppliers, utility providers, NHBC, Local Authority Building Control, HSE, and purchasers.

Qualifications

HNC/HND.

Experience

Experience in a similar role within the housebuilding industry.

Key Knowledge and Skills

• Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety and building legislation.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to deliver on time and to targets.
