Job summary

The FR Group are delivering a 90-unit timber frame development near Horsham, West Sussex. They seek an Assistant Site Manager to support the Senior Site Manager in day-to-day operations, coordinating subcontractors and materials, monitoring quality, and maintaining NHBC standards as the project progresses.

Ideally experienced in residential housebuilding with timber frame projects; health & safety compliance and strong communication across the site team are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating subcontractors, trades and materials on multi-unit builds.
• Familiarity with NHBC standards and quality expectations.
• Understanding of timber frame construction and residential build sequences.

• Helping manage build sequences, resolve issues and keep communication flowing across the site team.

We're working with a major UK housebuilder on a 90-unit timber frame development near Horsham, with enabling works already underway and the site moving towards the next stage of construction.

• Supporting the Senior Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development.
• Coordinating subcontractors, trades and materials to keep work progressing to programme.
• Monitoring build quality and ensuring NHBC standards are consistently met.
• Carrying out site inspections and maintaining high standards of health & safety.
• Helping manage build sequences, resolve issues and keep communication flowing across the site team.
• Supporting quality checks, plot progression and preparation for handover as the development advances.
  Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential housebuilding.
• Ideally, a background with a PLC or volume housebuilder.
• Understanding of timber frame construction and NHBC requirements.
• Confident coordinating subcontractors, monitoring quality and keeping work on programme.
• A proactive approach, good organisation and the confidence to take responsibility.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
