gap construction are proud to be working with a leading 5-star national housebuilder, seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a major development close to the historic city of Ely. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career with one of the UK's most respected housebuilders, known for quality and customer satisfaction.

The Project:
The site comprises over 150 new homes built using timber frame construction, with a blend of private and affordable housing, green open spaces, and supporting infrastructure. You'll support the Site Manager and project team in delivering high standards of build quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Site Manager in delivering all phases of the build from groundwork to final handover
• Oversee daily site activities and subcontractor coordination
• Ensure health & safety procedures are consistently enforced
• Monitor progress against programme and assist in resolving on-site issues
• Maintain accurate site records and assist with quality inspections
• Help manage site logistics and uphold site presentation standards

What We're Looking For:

• Experience on residential developments, ideally timber frame
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Proactive and solutions-focused, with a keen eye for detail
• Able to support senior site leadership and contribute to a collaborative site culture
