Job Title: Assistant Site Manager

Rate: £230-£240 per day (Freelance)

The Opportunity:

A well-established roofing and cladding subcontractor is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a live project based in the heart of Birmingham.

Working closely with the Site Manager, you'll help oversee day-to-day operations, supervise subcontractors, ensure H&S compliance, and keep the project running smoothly and to schedule. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in envelope or external works looking to step up or support on a fast-paced city centre project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing site activities and subcontractors
• Maintain site health & safety standards
• Monitor progress and support in keeping the project on track
• Handle site paperwork and reports as required
• Liaise with suppliers and coordinate deliveries

Requirements:

• Previous experience in roofing, cladding, or envelope packages
• SMSTS or SSSTS (in date)
• First Aid certification preferred
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Comfortable working on busy city-centre projects
• Able to commute to central Birmingham (no on-site parking provided)
