Randstad UK CPE team is looking to onboard an Assistant Site Manager to join a prestigious residential developer on a new-build housing project in the Banbury area

Job Title: Assistant Site Manager (Residential Housing)

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire

Pay: £200.00 - £250.00 per day (Depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

You will be instrumental in the successful delivery of high-quality homes, ensuring all construction activities are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards, including meeting NHBC requirements. This is a long-term contract opportunity on a busy, multi-phased development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rigorously enforce site health and safety procedures, conducting daily/weekly checks, toolbox talks, and ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
  • Manage and inspect the quality of work from sub-contractors and trades, ensuring compliance with specifications, plans, and NHBC standards.
  • Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the site, including monitoring progress against the build programme and managing material delivery.
  • Supervise and coordinate multiple trade packages, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to the schedule.
  • Support the management of the customer journey, including handover inspections and snagging, ensuring excellent customer service is maintained.
  • Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and report on progress, issues, and resource requirements to the Site Manager.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager or highly experienced Supervisor/Foreman on new-build residential housing projects.
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid at Work
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and NHBC standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
