Job summary

Serco is seeking an Assistant Shift Leader at RAF Fylingdales, North Yorkshire. You will help deliver the continuous operation and maintenance of the SSPAR radar 24/7, monitor the Building Management System and fire alarm systems, and support HV/LV electrical work.

You will lead a skilled shift team, coordinate Safe Systems of Work, maintain records, and stand in for the Shift Leader as required, contributing to national defence and reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent HV/LV electrical experience.
• Experience as Authorised Person Electrical HV/LV or previously performing AP duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor facilities plant, BMS and fire alarm systems.
• Carry out AP duties for HV and LV systems.
• Coordinate Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) activities per JSP 375.
• Maintain operational records and reports.
• Supervise engineering subcontractors and support maintenance activities.
• Stand in for the Shift Leader, supporting radar operations and site reporting.
