Job summary

Washwood Heath Academy is seeking a proactive Science Technician to join our Science Department in Birmingham. You will help prepare practical lessons, ensure safety, and support teachers to deliver an engaging curriculum for pupils.

The role requires a UK Level 3 Science Qualification (or equivalent) and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team within a lively school environment. Onsite parking and a supportive academy trust are provided.

Washwood Heath Academy is looking to appoint an experienced and highly organised Science Technician to join our friendly and supportive Science Department.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality, practical Science curriculum. The successful candidate will bring strong practical skills, initiative and a genuine enthusiasm for Science. You will work closely with teachers to ensure that practical lessons are well prepared, safe and engaging, helping to create the best possible learning experiences for our pupils.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is able to work independently and as part of a team, and understands the important contribution a skilled technician makes to pupil achievement. You will be instrumental in ensuring that practical Science is an integral and exciting part of our curriculum.
