Job summary

St Laurence School in Bradford-on-Avon seeks an Assistant SENDCo to promote progress and achievement for SEND students. The role focuses on supporting the SENDCo, developing SEND provision and building strong partnerships with parents, staff and external agencies.

It is 33 hours per week over 5 days, term-time only (39 weeks per year). The successful candidate will have experience in SEND and a commitment to safeguarding within a church of England secondary school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND provision within a school setting.
• Strong communication with parents, staff and external agencies.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a busy school environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the SENDCo to promote progress and achievement of SEND students.
• Develop SEND provision within the school.
• Foster positive working relationships with parents, external agencies, staff and students.
• Work with the SENDCo on whole-school SEND strategies and budgets.
