Job summary

Richmond Hill Academy is seeking an inspirational and committed Assistant SENDCo to support the leadership and development of our SEND provision. You will work closely with the SENDCo to ensure pupils with SEND receive high-quality support and achieve strong outcomes, coordinating interventions and liaising with families and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status is required.
• Proven track record of achieving academic excellence.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and practice.
• Experience implementing innovative approaches to learning, especially for ASD.
• Experience supporting pupils in mainstream with specialist provision.
• Knowledge of the EHCP assessment process.
• Resilience, energy and optimism.
• Knowledge of the SE MH panel process and social, emotional, and mental health needs of young people.
