Job summary

Abbey Hill Academy & College is seeking a dynamic Assistant SENCO to join our team. You will support the Vice Principal in high-level operational management of SEND processes, including annual reviews and working with class teams to collate information to support writing, scheduling and conducting the review meetings.

The role involves coordinating funding provisions, liaising with external agencies, delivering CPD for staff, and ensuring robust inclusion across the school.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processes for secure funding and provision maps.
• Coordinate and prepare for SEND tribunals and gather evidence.
• Lead case management for identified pupils and referrals to external services.
• Drive inclusion quality marks and monitor interventions and outcomes.
• Provide notetaking, scheduling, and reporting support for SLT and governors.
• Design and deliver targeted training for staff on SEND practices.
