Job summary

St Thomas More Catholic Academy is seeking an Assistant SENCO to support and develop SEND provision across our 11–18 Catholic academy. The role will involve identifying pupils with additional needs, coordinating EHCP processes and interventions, and collaborating with staff, families and external agencies.

Assistant SENCO

Salary Scale: Band 6 (SCP 21-25) St Gabriels Salary Scale

Starting salary: £34,237 (FTE: £29,947)

37 hours per week

Term Time + Inset (6 days)

(8.00am-4.00pm Monday-Thursday, 8.00am-3.30pm Friday with 30-minute lunch break)

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Assistant SENCO to support the in leading and developing high-quality SEND provision across the academy.

You will help identify and support pupils with additional needs, coordinate interventions and EHCP processes, work closely with staff, families and external agencies, and ensure students with SEND can thrive academically and personally.

The ideal candidate will have:
