Job summary

Evodia Limited is seeking an SC cleared Assistant Safety Engineer based at MOD Abbeywood in Bristol, with hybrid working and 3–4 days onsite per week. This long-term contract runs until 31 March 2027 with an immediate start.

The role involves developing safety requirements for Naval subsystems, supporting safety management systems, and providing expert safety advice through design, testing, verification and validation.

Qualifications

• Science/engineering qualification at RQF Level 4 or higher (e.g., HNC or above).
• Registered with EngTech or RSciTech, or posses a related Level 6+ qualification.
• Experience delivering safety systems in Defence or military environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage technical safety requirements and documentation.
• Support Safety Management Systems and hazard analysis.
• Provide expert safety advice during design, testing, verification and validation.
• Manage safety-related contractual activities and oversee safety performance.
• Assist in safe decommissioning and disposal of equipment.
• Contribute to safety policy and process development to meet Defence standards.
