Job summary

Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL) is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations across all areas of the business in a community-focused setting. You will handle donations, organise collections, and coordinate item flow to shops or community redistribution.

The role involves running the centre, responding to customer queries, and helping recruit and train volunteers and staff, with DBS checks required for all assistants.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to recruit and train volunteers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager with day-to-day running of the centre.
• Receive donations and organise collections from private houses and other locations.
• Process and deliver items to SATCoL shops or redistribute.
• Support a repair and reuse service to reduce landfill where practical.
• Open and close the centre and respond to queries from customers, head office and the team.
