Job summary

Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL) is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations across donation intake, collection organisation and distribution to shops. You will contribute to re-use initiatives and help deliver high customer service.

You will respond to queries from customers, head office and the team, and participate in recruitment and training of volunteers and staff. This is a hands-on leadership role within a values-driven charity environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop volunteers and staff.
• Strong communication and teamwork across centres.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager in day-to-day running of the centre.
• Receive donations and organise collections from homes and other locations.
• Process and deliver to SATCoL shops, or redistribute goods.
• Lead repair and reuse service to divert items from landfill where possible.
• Open and close the centre; assist with recruitment and training of volunteers and staff.
