ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to work in our amazing store in London, Kings Cross. The area of Coal Drops Yard is a hive of cafés, bars and restaurants, as well as a wonderful mix of more than 45 shops - all just minutes from King's Cross/St Pancras stations. The role of Assistant Manager is a valued and important position in our, small but growing, retail portfolio. So, if you feel confident that you have the knowledge and skills to showcase what good looks like and assist in driving the day-to-day management of our team, and store, then you may be just the person we are looking for!

The main duties will include:

COMMERCIAL

• Create a warm and welcoming environment that maximises the customer experience
• Focus on the turnover of the store driving communication and achievement
• Passionately assist in enhancing the performance of all retail KPI’s
• Observe customer needs to support seasonal buys and maximise sales
• Proactive in local, brand and social activity to promote in-store events
• Considerate of all controllable costs and budgets

PEOPLE

• Aid or lead daily motivational team briefs
• Assist in the recruitment and induction of the team, setting all up for success
• Offer feedback and coaching in the moment to improve skills and underperformance
• Provide on-the-job and retail training to aid the continual development of the team
• Support the cascade of relevant business information to the team

PRODUCT

• Use VM skills to assist in outstanding product presentation
• Respond to commercial indicators to maximise sell through and sales
• Support a consistent approach to replenishment ensuring product availability

·Ensure efficient turnaround of deliveries, transfers and customer orders

·Aid the planning and preparation of successful end of season sales

OPERATIONS

• Maintain the highest level of shopfloor and back of house standards

·Monitor security to minimise and report on loss

• Support the management of team rotas always ensuring adequate cover
• Ensure efficient store opening and closing and accurate till reconciliation
• Comply in all HR & H&S policies and procedures ensuring they are adhered to
• Assist in the completion of all relevant store reporting and or paperwork

Requirements:

• Be a brand ambassador, always keep at front of mind the brand strategy and values
• Exceptional customer service focus
• Be responsible for all aspects of the store in the Store Managers absence
• Good knowledge of retail and management skills
• Ability to plan, prioritise and delegate
• Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude, proactive in supporting a team and achieving results
• Passionate, enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekend working.
