Job summary

NoMad London is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead the F&B team across our outlets, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction. You will mentor staff, maintain brand standards and contribute to a positive, hospitality-focused culture.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you’ll manage service on the floor and in the back of house, drive continuous improvement, and participate in planning and staff development within a dynamic luxury hotel environment.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The role of the Assistant Restaurant Manager is to successfully lead the F&B team in executing all areas of service across our various outlets.

The ability to lead and inspire others while maintaining a positive, hospitality-focused attitude is crucial to the success of this role. S/he will display the desire to continually learn and develop while lending their innate ability to coach others. Commitment to service and taking care of others a must.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is expected to:

• Be professional at all the times
• Exhibit qualities of flexibility and leadership as well as be an effective communicator
• Represent The NoMad positively to all internal and external stake holders as well as act as an ambassador of our brand when out in our industry’s community
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times, including but not exclusive of; H&S policies, HR policies
• Manage own workload efficiently and find balance between responsibilities on the floor during service and office administrative work
• Communicate well within the team and other departments across the hotel and collaborate on shared initiatives as they related to standards of guest interaction

MAINDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of the Assistant Restaurant Manager are summarised below, the list is not exhaustive:

• Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, the Dining Room Manager will support the day-to-day operation, drive operational excellence, support departmental profitability, elevate the guest experience, and coach the team to consistently deliver high standards.
• To support the F&B team in executing gracious and approachable service while maintaining high standards of product knowledge and guest service standards.
• Contribute to the administrative success of the department by executing designated office work efficiently and accurately
• Show versatility and flexibility by working with teams in different outlets and across different departments within F&B
• Attend weekly F&B Management meetings as well as relevant planning/collaborative efforts
• Ensure that all staff Health & Safety standards are always upheld
• Reward and recognise individual and team performance to encourage an engaged and motivated team
• Perform opening/closing procedures including updating service notes
• To be present on the service floor, anticipating guest needs, supporting all levels of line staff in their duties, and ensuring smooth transition of information through handovers
• To ensure the guest experience is of an exceptional level and constantly review standards of practice to see where improvements can be made
• To work alongside the various other departments in upholding the standards and assisting where necessary to support
• Any other reasonable tasks asked to be performed by the management according to the changing business needs
