Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a detail-oriented administrative coordinator to support the Performance and Compliance Team in delivering Waste and Fleet services. The role involves processing diverse admin tasks, ensuring accurate records, and complying with council policies and statutory requirements.

You will handle data input, performance reporting, and financial administration, while liaising with the public, businesses, and elected members.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Performance and Compliance Team, where you will play a key role in supporting the efficient delivery of Waste and Fleet Services and contributing to positive outcomes for customers, communities and stakeholders.

This is a challenging and varied role providing administrative support across Community Operations, with a particular focus on Waste and Fleet Services. You will be responsible for coordinating and processing a wide range of administrative activities, ensuring that information, records and processes are managed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with Council policies, procedures and statutory requirements.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience working within a busy administrative environment and demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. You will assist in a range of activities including data input and processing, performance reporting, financial administration, personnel-related processes and responding to enquiries from members of the public, business waste customers, elected members and other stakeholders.

You will have excellent keyboard and ICT skills, with experience of using Microsoft Office applications and business systems. A strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise workloads and a commitment to delivering high standards of customer service is essential. The ability to work independently or as part of a team is also required.

An SVQ Level 3, HNC, Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification is essential.

Work pattern:

35 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45 (including a 55 minute unpaid break)

Friday: 08:45 - 16:15 (including a 50 minute unpaid break)
