Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the Home Support Service in Motherwell. You will provide essential clerical support, maintain records, and assist with reports and enquiries in a confidential, fast-paced environment.

The role requires National 5 level education and proven office experience with Microsoft Office. A background in administrative qualifications would be advantageous and offers opportunities for development within LearnNL and flexible working.

Job description

NLC4: £26,991 - £28,283 Per Year

Based within the Home Support Service in Motherwell (Bellshill Locality), you will operate within a fast paced highly sensitive environment. You will work closely with operational staff to provide effective and comprehensive business support within the Home Support Service.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will deliver high-quality, responsive administrative support. This includes maintaining and updating systems and processes, preparing reports, taking minutes, and handling enquiries. A high level of confidentiality is essential, along with strong communication and organisational skills to thrive in a busy office setting.

You should be educated to National 5 level and have relevant experience working in a dynamic office environment, with proficiency in various IT systems including Microsoft Office. Possession of administrative qualifications would be advantageous.

Working Pattern:

Monday - Thursday: 08:45am - 16:45pm

Friday: 08:45am - 16:15pm
