Our Assistant Managers are part of a team of awesome Yugoers across the globe, supporting the delivery of consistent service to our students. #Futureshapers who want to positively influence and shape the lives of students and Yugoers.

Located in the heart of London, this role requires a hands-on approach to work, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective facilities and maintenance services. You will be responsible for maintaining smooth operations when the Residence Manager is not present.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Residence Manager, here is a snapshot of what you will do:

  • Lead, mentor, and guide the team to ensure the residence runs smoothly, using your upbeat, outgoing personality
  • Follow up on all sales opportunities to ensure the property is at capacity through short-term and long-term lets
  • Drive sales and marketing activities to maximize occupancy and utilize all marketing channels
  • Maintain high standards in property presentation through regular inspections and collaboration with the facilities team
  • Handle complaints and provide excellent customer service to students, managing both positive and negative feedback
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders at local universities and with internal and external suppliers
  • Manage the operational calendar and student lifecycle from arrival to departure and summer turnaround
  • Take health and safety responsibilities seriously, complying with Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, ensuring safety for yourself and others
Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • Experience supporting the operation of a residence, ideally within hotels, hospitality, or student accommodation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships
  • A passion for providing students with an exceptional living experience
  • Behaviors aligned with our values of integrity, commitment, and energy
  • Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a focus on sales and marketing

Preferred:

  • Relevant qualification or willingness to undertake Carbon Literacy training, as our Pillars are a key part of our brand
