The University of Reading is seeking an Assistant Research Development Manager to support the development of research grant applications within the Prosperity and Resilience theme. The role involves effective communication, project management, and a solid understanding of research funding mechanisms. This position offers a generous leave package and flexible working arrangements on the beautiful Whiteknights campus.

Our interdisciplinary work spans continents and explores solutions for climate change, health improvement, food security, and cultural understanding.
Focusing primarily on the Prosperity and Resilience theme, you will contribute to developing high-quality research grant applications and generating research income. The Assistant Research Development Manager will support the Research Development Manager within the Prosperity and Resilience team, under the guidance of a Senior Research Development Manager, as part of the Research Development team.
You will join a team dedicated to supporting researchers in developing and submitting high-quality research grant applications. The role is based on our beautiful Whiteknights campus, which has received 14 consecutive Green Flag awards. The university offers a generous annual leave package of 26 days plus 8 additional closure days, including bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time roles), and supports flexible working arrangements.
