Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking an Assistant Quarry Manager for Denbigh Quarry in Wales. You will assist in planning and coordinating daily production, supervise colleagues and contractors, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on site.

Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will help maintain equipment, support budgeting and procurement, and contribute to continuous improvement in efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quarrying processes and plant operations.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
• Experience in supervising colleagues and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and scheduling production to high standards.
• Assist in overseeing operations to meet targets safely and within budget.
• Participate in quality control to ensure materials meet standards.
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance schedules.
• Keep records of materials, stock, maintenance and incidents.
• Support budgeting, ordering, and inventory management.
