Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking an ambitious Assistant Quarry Manager at our busy Chipping Sodbury site to lead daily operations, develop people and uphold safety, quality and service standards.

This role requires supervisory experience in quarrying or heavy industry, a strong safety mindset and excellent stakeholder communication to drive performance and continuous improvement across the operation.

Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day management of the quarry and operational teams to ensure safe, efficient and sustainable site operation.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Support environmental performance and sustainability objectives.
• Collaborate with technical, logistics and sales teams to ensure customer service and product quality.
• Assist with resource planning, training and succession development.

What You'll Be Doing

As Assistant Quarry Manager, you'll support the day-to-day management of the quarry and operational teams, helping ensure the site operates safely, efficiently and sustainably.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the leadership and development of operational teams.
