Job summary

Apple Technical Recruitment (UK) Limited is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for permanent work across projects in Essex, including Education, Healthcare and Defence sectors. The role offers clear progression with support for professional development and APC/CIOB training.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience as an assistant QS, a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, and basic knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Assistant Quantity Surveyor or similar role.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (completed or part-way through).
• Basic knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in daily commercial management functions during procurement and on-site delivery.
• Assisting with measurement and valuations.
• Preparation of applications for payment.
• Ensuring compliance with all contractual requirements.
• Reconciling accounts and managing subcontract packages.
