Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Belfast is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a large multi-disciplinary team, delivering commercial support across highways, rail, aviation and maritime projects.

You will work under project managers and design managers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, handle contractual obligations, and contribute to monthly reporting and final accounts. A path toward MRICS is encouraged, with a hybrid working policy and broad benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering within a Cost Consultancy or Main Contractor
• NEC experience is preferred for project delivery
• Excellent communication and time management skills are essential
• Ability to prioritise work and perform under pressure

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and design managers to deliver projects on time and to budget
• Prepare cost plans and monitor financial performance across contracts
• Review main/ sub-contract tenders and assist with commercial reporting
• Produce monthly management reports and handling commercial queries
• Assist with final accounts and value engineering
• Support with preparation of estimates and cost plans in line with briefs
• Maintain good client relationships and contribute to business development
