Willmott Dixon is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a new residential and regeneration project in East London. You will provide commercial support, manage procurement, value and certify payments, and ensure costs stay within budget.

The role requires strong procurement and financial awareness, plus the ability to read drawings and work closely with the project team and supply chain. A valid driving licence is desirable for site visits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Assistant/Quantity Surveyor in commercial construction.
• Residential experience is desirable.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
• Procurement and cost management experience.
• Excellent financial and contractual awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Deliver projects within budget and to high quality; exceed customer expectations.
• Work with the project team and senior commercial staff to meet budgeted targets.
• Establish relationships with supply chain, consultants and customers.
• Value, certify, and issue payment notices for supply chain partners per contract.
• Procure work packages from approved supply chain partners per standards.
• Ensure external valuations are submitted and payments received by due date.
• Prepare cost value comparison (CVC) reflecting current position and projection.
• Identify potential disputes early and support effective solutions.
