Job summary

CR Smith in Dunfermline is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to gain broad commercial and project exposure, supporting valuations, variations, and procurement on major housebuilder and commercial projects across Scotland.

You'll join a structured mentoring program with hands-on contract experience, progression opportunities and a strong benefits package including 31 days leave, pension contributions and in-office GP access.

Qualifications

• Strong written, verbal and numerical skills.
• Commercial awareness and an organised approach.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work as part of a team.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of multiple contracts.
• Prepare valuations and assist with variations and final accounts.
• Contribute to contract mobilisation and subcontractor procurement.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting and commercial reporting.
• Engage with clients, senior management and supply-chain partners.
• Help improve commercial systems and working practices.
