Wates Smartspace is seeking an Assistant Surveyor to join our Commercial Team and support projects across the Southern region. You will assist in cost estimation, budgets, tender documents, and subcontractor management while helping monitor costs and ensure value for money.

Qualifications

• Cost estimates, budgets and tender documents preparation.
• Valuations, payments and negotiations with subcontractors.
• Track costs and identify financial risks or opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets.
• Support subcontractor accounts, including valuations and payments.
• Monitor project costs and flag risks to keep budgets on track.
• Contribute to cost reports and forecasts with the Commercial Team.
• Participate in site visits to monitor progress and compliance.
• Assist in preparing final accounts and cost reconciliations.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth delivery.
