Job summary

Cityscape Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a residential contractor in Wendover. You will join a supportive commercial team, working alongside experienced professionals on varied residential projects and gaining exposure to the full commercial lifecycle.

The role requires at least 12 months' hands-on experience, a relevant QS qualification, and a full UK driving licence. You will assist with procurement, costs, payments and final accounts while developing your commercial

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' hands-on experience in an Assistant QS or Trainee QS position.
• Residential construction experience preferred.
• Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Residential Contractor

Up to £40k DOE

An established and growing SME residential contractor is looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor who already has at least 12 months' hands-on experience and is looking to develop within a supportive business. You will work alongside experienced commercial professionals across residential projects, gaining exposure to the full commercial lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with subcontractor payments and valuations.

Requirements

• At least 12 months' hands-on experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Trainee Quantity Surveyor position.
• Residential construction experience is preferred.
• Relevant degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction.
• A good understanding of subcontractor procurement and payments.
• Strong numerical, organisational and communication skills.
• Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel.
• A full UK driving licence.
