Assistant Quantity Surveyor–Infrastructure

Location – Warrington

What you will be doing:

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with your line manager to assist in the commercial administration, reporting, and performance on a large project or several smaller schemes.

• Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
• Use the latest Oracle software tools to accurately report cost and value to the business unit.
• Interpret and critically evaluate expenditure reports produced by internal cost systems.
• Be involved in the procurement of subcontractors, including preparing bid enquiry documentation and critically evaluating bids.
• Apply the principles of ‘Doing the right thing’ to maximize value and profit.
• Administer subcontract work packages, including interim assessments of the amount due and change management.
• Assist in producing and issuing commercial notices to clients and subcontractors, as required by the contract and law.
• Assist in managing changes according to the contract, including producing and submitting Compensation Event Quotations and maintaining detailed schedules of value.
• Provide information to the Commercial team to assist in producing monthly payment applications to the client.
• Liaise with operational and engineering staff to maintain site records.
• Gather and calculate information to help the Commercial team produce and maintain a detailed ‘cost to complete,’ including schedules of subcontractor liabilities.
