Job summary

Sphere Solutions in Plymouth is recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support a Senior QS on a major residential development. This is an excellent chance for an Assistant QS or Junior QS to grow commercial experience and progress within an established team.

Initially on a temporary basis with a view to a permanent role for the right candidate, the position offers exposure to a high-profile housing project and the opportunity to work closely with an experienced Senior QS.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Junior QS or similar commercial role.
• Interest in residential construction, infrastructure or groundworks.
• Keen to learn, develop and progress within a commercial team.
• A proactive approach with good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor with the commercial management of a large-scale residential development.
• Assist with the management of infrastructure and groundworks packages.
• Support cost control, valuations and subcontractor management.
• Gain hands-on experience across a range of commercial activities.
• Work closely with the Senior QS to develop your skills and take on increased responsibility.

Sphere Solutions are working with an established construction business to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support a Senior QS on a large residential development in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Junior QS looking to develop their commercial experience, gain exposure to a major housing scheme and progress their career within an established business.

Initially offered on a temporary basis for the first month, the intention is to move to a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

• Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor with the commercial management of a large-scale residential development.
• Assisting with the management of infrastructure and groundworks packages.
• Supporting cost control, valuations and subcontractor management.
• Gaining hands-on experience across a range of commercial activities.
• Working closely with the Senior QS to develop your skills and take on increased responsibility.

About You
