Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Leeds, West Yorkshire. You will work alongside experienced professionals, assist with valuations, cost reporting, and contract administration while developing your career in a supportive environment.

Ideal candidates will have a construction or QS qualification, strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Construction/Quantity Surveying background or qualification is desirable.
  • Strong numeric and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare client valuations and applications for payment.
  • Assist with cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Support tendering and estimating activities.
  • Monitor project costs and maintain commercial records.
  • Assist with contract administration and subcontract management.
  • Support risk and opportunity assessments.
  • Provide commercial support to project delivery teams.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and procedures.

The Role
  • Preparing client valuations and applications for payment
  • Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Supporting tendering and estimating activities
  • Monitoring project costs and maintaining accurate commercial records
  • Assisting with contract administration and subcontract management
  • Supporting risk and opportunity assessments
  • Providing commercial support to project delivery teams
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures
About You

We're looking for someone who is motivated, eager to learn, and keen to build a long-term career within the construction industry.

Ideally, you'll have:
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A Construction, Quantity Surveying or related qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent) - desirable
  • Previous experience working for a main contractor or within the construction industry is advantageous but not essential
  • A genuine passion for developing a career in Quantity Surveying
