Job summary

Linear Recruitment is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our South Yorkshire team, primarily on-site across Commercial, Industrial and Retail projects. The role involves close collaboration with commercial and site teams in a friendly, collegiate environment.

We are looking for 3–5 years’ experience, a relevant degree (Quantity Surveying or equivalent), and a driving license. You’ll handle client and supplier communications, manage projects, and use standard construction software and MS

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience (ideally).
• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role in commercial construction or residential.
• Knowledge of construction regulations and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driving license.

Responsibilities

Job description

Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their business. Based in South Yorkshire they specialise inundertaking Commercial, Industrial, Retail projects for clients in the public and private sectors including newbuild, extensions, and refurbishment work.

Based on site you will work closely with the wider commercial and Site teams in a friendly collegiate atmosphere. Our client is looking for someone who can grow with the role, is tech savvy, and has the skills and knowledge that come with experience in the commercial construction sector ideally with a main contractor.

Skills and Aptitude:

• Strong communication and listening skills, with good negotiation skills.
• Highly motivated to deliver quality developments.
• Ability to manage your own projects as well as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines.
• IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems.
• Good administration skills.
• Regularly liaise with clients, Project Manager,and suppliers to maintain clear communication throughout the project.

Requirements:
