Duties

• Conduct cost estimates and prepare budgets for construction projects
• Monitor project progress to ensure costs remain within budget
• Analyse construction plans and contracts to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare tender documents and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
• Evaluate variations in project scope and their impact on costs
• Provide advice on procurement strategies to achieve best value for money

Experience

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Excel and industry-specific quantity surveying software
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is desirable.
