Mwh Treatment is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its Commercial team in Hampton with hybrid working options. You will support the Senior and Quantity Surveyors in delivering valued cost control, timely payments, and robust cost reporting.

You will assist with subcontracts, progress applications, final accounts and cost data for audits, working closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.

Qualifikationen

• Assist with cost control and value maximisation while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Monitor direct labour payments and report them accurately.
• Prepare and resolve disputed, withheld or disallowed costs with guidance from QS team.

Aufgaben

• Work as directed by the Managing and Quantity Surveyor to control costs, maximise value, minimise liabilities and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Monitor and report direct labour payments.
• Report and assist with disputed or disallowed costs and resolution of disputes.
• Collate cost information for insurance claims and support subcontract preparation and interim/final accounts.
• Assist in preparing progress applications and evaluate subcontractor applications.
• Liaise with external clients, subcontractors and internal contract/accounts/QS staff; maintain contract files and cost records.
• Assist in cash forecasting and ensure final accounts are prepared timely and accurately.
• Ensure cost data for audits and cost assurance processes are gathered and aligned with the WBS.

We are looking to strengthen our Commercial team with a Assistant Quantity Surveyor, based at Hampton with hybrid working available.

You will report directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and the purpose of your role As an assistant Quantity Surveyor is to provide Quantity Surveying services and ensure that all contractual and financial entitlements are fulfilled. To provide assistance to Chief, Senior and Quantity Surveyor in day to day running and duties .

Key responsibilities will include:

• To work as directed by the Managing and Quantity Surveyor assisting with the control of costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities and maintaining the required standard of quality and safety
• Ensure direct labour payments are monitored and reported correctly.
• Accurately report withheld, disputed or disallowed costs and assist with resolution of disputes.
• Monitor insurance claims including collation of cost information in relation to claims.
• Assist with subcontract preparation, measurement of interim & final accounts & support the Quantity Surveyor in relation to disputed subcontract accounts & claims.
• Monitor & expedite payments from the client
• Ensure contract files and records are maintained and keep up to date.
• Assist in preparation of cash forecasts.
• Ensure final accounts are prepared timely and accurately.
• Ensure financial information for audits is collated and cost assurance processes are followed.
• Ensure actual costs are collated in accordance with the respective WBS and all cost base requirements are captured.
• To correlate and abstract information from contract records to enable valuation of a) subcontract accounts, b) claims, c) variations.
• To assist in preparation of progress application for payment to client
• To evaluate subcontractors applications.
• To liaise effectively with External clients & subcontractors
• To liaise effectively with Internal contract, accounts staff & QS staff
