Job summary

Kenton Black is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor for a Midlands-based contractor operating in hospitality, assisted living and refurbishment sectors. The role is primarily office-based with occasional travel to sites, where you will assist the Commercial Director and Managing QS on cost estimation, BoQs, tender management and final accounts.

• Minimum 3–4 years of practical quantity surveying experience.
• Graduate/degree-qualified in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost estimation and cost planning and budgeting.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
• Assist with tender management and contract administration.
• Support cost control, variations, risk management and final account preparation.
• Travel to site/meetings as required.

Job description

Midlands privately owned contractor that specialise and work within the hospitality, assisted living and general refurbishment sectors. The role will primarily be officed based but may require some travel to site where you will be working under the direction of the managing QS and assistance from the Commercial Director, main core duties will be to assist with: -

Managing Variations
Risk Management
Final Account Preparation
