Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Hybrid – Home + London or Birmingham Office

About the Opportunity

We are working with a leading infrastructure consultancy delivering major civil engineering and rail projects across the UK. As they continue to expand, they're seeking a capable and ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support on high-profile, nationally significant programmes — including the UK’s largest infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Senior Quantity Surveyors in managing project budgets and commercial performance
• Assist with cost planning, reporting, and financial control
• Support the preparation of payment applications, valuations, and contract administration
• Help manage sub-contract procurement and assessments
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across high-value infrastructure projects

Candidate Profile

• 2+ years of experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial support role
• Knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contract forms
• Strong communication, reporting, and financial analysis skills
• A degree in Quantity Surveying (or related field)
