Job summary

EC Property Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking an entry-level Assistant Quantity Surveyor with a clear focus on Development Monitoring. You’ll gain live exposure to lender reports, drawdowns, and risk assessment on large residential/mixed-use schemes from day one.

As you grow, you’ll take on QS responsibilities alongside monitoring work, with structured APC support and mentorship from senior surveyors to accelerate your career.

Qualifications

• RICS-accredited degree (or working towards) required.
• Graduate or up to 12 months' experience in Quantity Surveying or consultancy.
• Strong academics and commercially aware mindset.
• Genuine interest in development, finance, and the built environment.
• Driven, adaptable, and keen to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Supporting on development monitoring instructions from the outset.
• Assisting with lender reports, drawdowns, and risk assessments.
• Working on large residential and mixed-use developments.
• Attending site visits and contributing to project reviews.
• Learning how schemes are funded and commercially structured.
• Building QS capability alongside monitoring work as you progress.
• Working closely with senior surveyors and leadership.
