Job summary

A leading engineering services firm in Birmingham is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Assistant Commercial Manager. You will support both pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services. Ideal applicants have a relevant degree and some post-graduate experience, with a passion for developing a career in this field. You’ll work closely with senior members, gaining valuable hands-on experience within a diverse team, and contributing to exciting projects across various sectors.

Qualifications

• Some post-graduate work experience in a QS or commercial environment.
• A strong interest in pursuing a career in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.
• Familiarity with NEC Contracts and other standard forms of contract.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of pre- and post-contract QS and Cost Management services.
• Assist with estimating, cost planning, and procurement.
• Work closely with senior team members for hands-on experience.

Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of QS/Cost and Commercial principles

Education
