A leading global engineering firm in the UK is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Assistant Commercial Manager to support Quantity Surveying and Cost & Commercial Management services. The role involves assisting with costing, procurement, and financial management on diverse projects. Ideal candidates should have a relevant degree and some post-graduate experience along with strong communication and analytical skills. Qualifications

• Some post-graduate work experience in a QS or commercial environment.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of pre‑ and post‑contract Quantity Surveying and Cost management services.
• Assist with estimating, cost planning, procurement, and cost assurance.

Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of QS/Cost and Commercial principles

Adaptable and flexible approach to workload

Familiarity with NEC Contracts

Working knowledge of CostX or CEMAR

Education
