This is an exciting opportunity to join the National Psychology Projects as an Assistant Psychologist, where you will work with a dedicated team to make a real difference in the lives of those with mental health issues. You will have the chance to develop specialist skills and contribute to the growth of psychological projects with Elysium.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract

What You Will Be Doing

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will contribute to the delivery of training and undertake various administrative and research tasks. You will work under the supervision of a Consultant Psychologist overseeing the Psychology Projects. You will assist with reviewing current projects, focusing initially on the psychology graduate academy content and delivery, the Clinical and Forensic Doctorate, and the CAPs programme. Your duties will include clinical administration, audits, statistics collection, research projects, teaching, and minute-taking of key meetings. You will have opportunities to develop specialist skills and benefit from career development opportunities.

As An Assistant Psychologist You Will Be
  • Assist in designing and delivering specialist training

  • Write reports for various audiences
  • Conduct service evaluations and research, including data analysis and reporting
  • Undertake clinically relevant audits
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
  • An honours degree in Psychology, eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Creative thinking, clinical efficacy, and a commitment to evidence-based interventions
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Compliance with professional standards including HCPC and BPS codes
  • Experience in office systems and administrative tasks
  • Desirable: Experience as an Assistant Psychologist in forensic or mental health settings
