Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist (MAT Cover) to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Bury - Hudson.

This role involves working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Please note, this is a 9-12 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

Your Day-to-Day

We seek an academically strong candidate to support the psychological care of patients by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with:

• Contributing to assessments, scoring, and reporting (verbal/written)
• Clinical formulation and care plan implementation for psychological treatment
• Planning, delivering, and evaluating individual and group programmes
• Administration, audit, research, and service development

We're looking for someone who is

• Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
• BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
• Preferably experienced in healthcare and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role
• Passionate about learning and working within an interdisciplinary team
• Qualified to Master's degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)
